Today I was not enjoying being at work probably because 1. today is monday and 2. I worked all weekend long.
When you work on the weekend that song "everybody is working for the weekend" plays in your head over and over to taunt you. I was so overwhelmed by the boringness of my monday I left work to go get coffee and I don't even like coffee. So I walked the two blocks to the coffee shop and when I got there I bought a coffee with a 10 dollar bill. The cashier looked at me like I was crazy for paying for a $1.60 coffee with a 10 dollar bill. I mean her expression would probably match that of the Pope if he were to be around when you took the name of God in vain. Anyway so on my way back I see an incredibly odd man wearing all pink and I think to myself "awesome I'm about to either 1. talk to a werido 2. get mugged 3. beat up a mugger who is wearing all pink or 4. I'm loosing my mind. Luckily the pink wearing fellow found a friend who must have borrowed some clothes from Pig Pen's closet and I didn't have to talk to either one.
Upon my return to my place of employment I noticed that my office, which is normally hot, had increased its typical gehenna like atmosphere to one similar to that of the surface of the sun (I mean I've never been to the surface of the sun, but I can imagine). So as you have now pieced together I am now sitting in a very hot office with a cup of hot coffee and I still have all the same work to do that I didn't want to do earlier. Awesome.
But the world is a crazy place and something happened that lifted my spirits. A group of children rode down the hallway on tricycles! and get this... they were all dressed as pirates! I kid you not. A horde of adorable little pirates rode down the hallway on tricycles. Now I don't usually support plundering and pillaging or piracy in general, however 4 year olds may pillage and plunder their adorable little hearts out.
In other news, on pandora the song "Handlebars" by the flobots just came on. I gave it a thumbs down. That might be the most satisfying thing I've done in a long time.
